Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God (Col 3v1).
Confession: I have been in the trough of a wave spiritually recently. My faith hasn’t waivered, but my connection with Jesus has. I hadn’t really noticed until it got to the end a day and my phone pinged up a Bible verse, I ignored it and swiped to something else instead.
This seemingly tiny motion is representative of an old habit I’ve slid back into – choosing to make time for the meaningless things instead of making time for Jesus.
I have often found myself envious of those who seem to be able to talk to Jesus organically and naturally throughout the day. There have been periods of my life when I have been able to do that, but only when I have made time, or silence, to seek God first.

So this week I challenge you to pay attention to what you’re paying attention to. Pray. Read. Share stories and food. Dig up your joy and share it.
